Improved certificate status accuracy

Our latest update enhances Prism Insurance compliance logic with clearly defined rules for profile selection, ensuring certificate compliance statuses are consistently accurate. This improvement addresses previous inconsistencies in sample Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and provides reliable status information when creating new certificates or editing existing ones.

Users will now see precise certificate statuses, such as expired or upcoming expiration, displayed uniformly across all certificates, properties, and companies. This enhancement delivers greater reliability in tracking insurance compliance throughout the system.

COI import status

When you include certificate compliance status in the 'Status' column of the Paid Certificates import template, our system now preserves that exact status without recalculating compliance after import. This enhancement gives you greater control over your data integrity during imports. If you leave the status field empty, the system will automatically calculate certificate compliance as normal. This feature benefits customers migrating from Classic, allowing you to maintain the same compliance statuses as your original system when importing certificates into Prism.

Duplicate coverage types

You can now add the same coverage type multiple times to a single Certificate of Insurance (COI), removing the previous one-per-certificate restriction. This flexibility allows for a more accurate representation of complex insurance arrangements. When duplicate coverages appear on a certificate, our system calculates compliance by combining their limit amounts to meet profile requirements.

Additionally, if AM Best Ratings are required, each duplicated coverage must individually meet the minimum rating specified in the profile for the certificate to be marked compliant. This enhancement provides greater flexibility in managing certificates with multiple carriers covering the same risk type.

Coverage type notes

Each coverage type on your certificate now includes a dedicated "Coverage Type Notes" field where you can add specific information about individual coverages. This new free-text field complements the existing Additional Insured or Remarks fields, which remain available for general certificate notes. The enhancement allows you to document coverage-specific details separately, providing clearer organization and more targeted information for each insurance coverage on your Certificate of Insurance.
